On Sunday alone, more than 115 storms were reported across the southern Plains, mainly of heavy winds that caused cars to overturn in Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma. Oklahoma and Kansas were hit with nine tornadoes - leaving more than a dozen people injured while thousands remained without power Monday morning - as a powerful winter storm continues to make its way across the country.
